Washington Social Club is a DC indie power pop band known for its raucous energy and spitfire melodies. The band has released two albums – 2004's Catching Looks and 2008's Bigger Than Your Boyfriend. According to Rolling Stone, Catching Looks was made of "Elvis Costello-y power pop and caffeinated danceability", while the Washington Post said of 2008's Bigger Than Your Boyfriend, "the best of these songs are towering achievements." From 2001 to 2008, WSC toured the country and graced the airwaves, earning fans and generally having an awesome time. In 2018, the band woke up from a long nap and has resumed touring and recording. In the fall of 2019, Washington Social Club will release its first new music in 11 years.
