Negritude DC is a collective of four individuals dedicated to carving out and curating a space for queer black and brown people to celebrate our identity. This Halloweekend, we're bringing some of our Black queer magic to Black Cat, with Fright Night! Dressing up is encouraged!


Featuring DJs:
Kryptk
DJ Kryptk is a sonic visionary based in Washington, D.C. Since 2013, she has performed at over two hundred venues and cultural gatherings throughout D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia. An avid lover of Black diasporic music, she has gathered an eclectic following of supporters with her alluring knowledge of contemporary, futuristic and the nostalgia inducing selections.

Muse(o)fire
Muse(o)fire is a DMV-born, NYC-based powerhouse with a love for booty shaking beats, transcendent vocals and music that gets your body moving. A newcomer on the scene she has played venues like No Bar, Mood Ring, H0l0, MOCADA, Basquiat's Bottle, and Cafe Erzulie. Her infectious smile and energy will lift your spirits and command you to the dance floor.

NAÍOME
NAÍOME is an interdisciplinary artist from DMV area that focuses on deconstruction and expansion of rhythmic sounds. She specializes in tribal/breakbeat, hardstyle, deep house, and all sub-genres of techno. "My goal is to express the intentions of my imagination through my sound"


We want to ensure that this event prioritizes the safety and comfort of everyone, but especially black queer people! Anti-blackness, homophobia, transphobia, islamophobia, fatphobia and ableism will not be tolerated. Individuals who overstep and/or violate any boundaries will be asked to leave.
