The Goons are a hardcore/punk band from the Washington, D.C. area that distinguished themselves in the local scene by blasting high-octane, aggressive, "mohican-kid speed-rock." Released in 1996 their debut full length, "Living in America," co-produced by Kent Stax (Scream, Suspects) and Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Bad Religion) was called a "ravenous punk onslaught" by Suburban Voice. The album earned the band comparisons to The Dead Kennedys, New Bomb Turks, and Keith Morris-era Black Flag. They built a loyal underground following by performing relentlessly up and down the East Coast before embarking on several national tours, including Warped Tour 2004. In total, The Goons released a total of four full length recordings.
