Having grown up in the shadow of DC bands like Fugazi and Q and not U, the members of Tereu Tereu always admired innovation and sonic exploration. The nation's capital has shaped some of the most aggressively original acts over the years, which the members of Tereu Tereu have been fortunate enough to witness, embrace, and absorb. When the band formed in early 2006, this adventurous spirit was paired with a shared admiration of 60's pop records and the clever sensibilities of great artists like Brian Wilson and David Byrne. All of these influences can be heard when they hit the Mainstage with friends Drunken Sufis and Raw Feels.
