Led by legendary frontman Scott "Wino" Weinrich, metal godfathers The Obsessed was formed in the late 1970's in Potomac, Maryland. Combining elements of doom metal, stoner rock, and punk, The Obsessed's sound was influential in the development of heavy metal. Now in 2017, The Obsessed has released their first studio album in over 20 years. On Sacred, the band doubles down on enormous, heaving riffs and pummeling low-end, rounded out by Wino's lyrical honesty and iconic throaty vocals.
