The Unicorns may only have been around for the length of one album, but that didn't stop them. Like Voltron, the various members kept re-forming into different but equally powerful units. One of those incarnations was Islands. Joined by friends, including one or two of the kids from Arcade Fire, Unicorns ex-pats Nick Diamonds and J'aime Tambeur came up with yet another take on Canadian indie rock. Weird and melodic at the same time, the latest release - A Sleep & A Forgetting - demonstrates what can happen when forces come together.
