For the uninitiated, Dead Confederate is a five-piece rock band from Athens, GA whose music runs the gamut from infectious psychedelia to a uniquely Southern and ferocious brand of dirge. In the end though, labels are rather pointless with a band like this - their sound is in constant evolution and Dead Confederate are never content to follow the rules of the many and various sub-genres. So let's just call them "rock." Which is to say, Dead Confederate are a rock band from Athens, GA that is very very good.
