They may look like a traditional jazz trio, but Dawn of Midi is one of the most boundary-pushing acts out there. Not afraid to experiment with rhythm, texture, or minimalism, the group creates a sound that's much more closely related to the work of Aphex Twin or DJ Shadow than it is Duke Ellington or Art Tatum.
