King Louie along with longtime friend and collaborator Julien Fried recruited drummer Aaron Hill and bassist Bennett Bartley — both members of Ian Saint Pé's (Black Lips, Almighty Defenders) side project The Fixed Focus — to form the power pop group King Louie's Missing Monuments. In April 2010, King Louie's Missing Monuments released their first 7", and recently, they released their first LP Painted White on Douchemaster Records. King Louie has collaborated with a number of artists over the years including (but not limited to) Jack Oblivian, Jay Reatard, Miss Pussycat, in addition to co-founding The Exploding Hearts and The Persuaders.
