Joe Lally is best known as the bass player for Fugazi. But don't think that sums him up. He's worked with John Frusciante and Josh Klinghoffer on the album Automatic Writing as the group Ataxia. And in early 2002, Lally joined ex-Frodus members Shelby Cinca and Jason Hamacher on a project originally called The Black Sea, but which would change later its name to Decahedron. Today, Joe Lally writes and performs original songs, including a solo album called Why Should I Get Used To It? out on Dischord now. His newest projects include The Messthetics (with bandmates Anthony Pirog and Brendan Canty) and Coriky (with Amy Farina and Ian MacKaye).
