Seas is Ben Green, plus a few friends when it comes time for live performances. The project began in 2006 as a collection of quiet, simple guitar-driven instrumental pieces, but has since evolved into the vocals+drums+guitar act that it is today. Now My Home Is A Beech Tree, the debut record from Seas, draws much aesthetic inspiration from John Fahey's co-opting of Takoma Park, MD. This record nods artistically to Fahey, while its careful layering of instrumentation and imagery constructs an atmosphere more lush and warm. Definitely worth checking out.
